Using Integrated Force in Response to Resistive Behavior

Law enforcement officers, due to the nature of their job and their responsibility to protect and serve their community, have been given a constitutional right to use force in certain situations. Each officer must understand the constitutional parameters that govern use of force, and how to use objectively reasonable force to accomplish legitimate missions. This interactive course encourages input and questions from the students as well as participation in meaningful discussions. A key factor of adult learning is instructor-facilitated student generated self-learning. By using this method there will be an abundance of opportunities for students to share knowledge and personal experiences during the course. This will result in the students collectively learning from each other and the instructor. A course workbook will be provided for each student which will assist them to follow the course content and can be used to take notes.
